About

The event will take place every year on the third weekend of April (except when Easter falls on the third weekend, then the contest is moved to the second weekend of April).  The Lake Area Amateur Radio Klub (K5LRK) enjoyed participating in this event in 2015 and 2016 and were saddened to hear that the initial sponsor Tom King, WK5DX, from Houston, who was running TSPOTA had gone silent key in 2015. The K5LRK club members decided that this was an event that should remain available as it provides a great opportunity for clubs to get out, have fun and enjoy our great state of Texas, so we carry on the torch for Tom! Please join us during this event, in a variety of state parks in Texas as we continue the Texas State Parks on the Air event!
